Traditional Korean Clothing

annyeong ^^

well, i thought about my blog yesterday,
and i found that my blog only gave information about kpop ==a
actually my blog goal is to make you know all about korea, not only kpop
so i wanna post something new ! Traditional Korean Clothing ! (sorry, this posting is only about their official/court clothing, i'll post about the rest soon)

enjoy~

During the Chosun Dynasty (1392-1910), symbols representing the wearer's rank began appearing on the hem of clothes. A dragon represented an empress and a phoenix represented a queen. Princesses and royal concubines wore floral patterns. High ranking court officials wore clouds and cranes. The color gold was also reserved for royalty throughout much of Korea's history. People of higher statuses wore much more ornate and expensive clothes than the commoners did.

Hwalot

Princesses wore this ritual attire during the Koryo (918-1392) and Chosun (1392-1910) Dynasties. The extreme cost of making a hwalot forced the common people to use nok wonsam instead. waw~ i wanna try to wear it xD

Wonsam

During the Chosun Dynasty (1392-1910), royalty, high-ranking court ladies, and noble women wore a wonsam, a ceremonial topcoat. The color and decorations around the chest, shoulders, and back represent the rank of the wearer.

these are some types of wonsam:

hwang wonsam

worn by empress (hwang means gold)
woah~ it's so shining, *_*

hong wonsam

worn by queen (hong means red)
it's mine ! xD whaaha~ i love this one :D

nok wonsam

worn by princesses and was also used by commoners in marriage ceremonies (nok means green)

Kaesong wonsam

worn by nobility in the Kaesong region
this is the simplest i think :D

Dangui

dangui represented minor ceremonial clothes for the queen, princess, or wife of a high ranking government official. Among the noble class, wives wore it for major ceremonies. Royal families had gold trim, while others had plain ones.

Myonbok and Cheokui (King's and Queen's Ceremonial Clothes)

Together, the with myonryugwan (headdress) and gonbok (clothes) comprised the myonbok outfit, the king's religious and formal ceremonial clothes during the Koryo (918-1392) and Chosun (1392-1910) Dynasties. The queen's outfit, Cheokui, originated from the Koryo Dynasty (918-1392). The design is based on a present from China's Empress Hoyja (Ming Dynasty).

Ch'eollik

The ch'eollik was worn by the king and various civil and military officials during the Chosun Dynasty (1392-1910). Military ?! i think this is the feminine one =__=a

Hwangp'o

The king wore the hwangp'o for daily clothes during the late Chosun Dynasty (1392-1910). waw~ love this one :D

Aengsam

aengsam ss formal clothing during the national government exam and governmental ceremonies for student ! wah~ well, i guess it will good on me :p xD

so, which one do you choose? ahaha ^^

4Minute Profile

wahh another followers, thanks a lot everyone who follows, love you so :)
well... this time I wanna post something about 4minute, their song "Hot Issue" got me, so maybe little review about their career and profile? check it out, hope you enjoy.

4Minute (Korean: 포미닛) is a South Korean girl group created by JYP Entertainment's sister label Cube Entertainment.

4Minute was announced in May 2009, with two of the groups members (Kim HyunAh and Nam JiHyun). JiHyun is the leader, but many singing parts and centered dancing roles belong to HyunAh, she was a former member of Wonder Girls long time ago. But due to her health problems, her parents took her out. On June 11, 2009, the silhouette teaser video was released online, along with their official website. Here is 4minute official website, click

The remaining three members' identities were kept secret until June 12. They debut on June 15, 2009 with "Hot Issue". Within hours of the song release, it quickly climbed onto top five (Cyworld, Bugs, Soribada, and Mnet)
not 2 weeks, not one month, but in hour. Bravo 4minute ! 4minute had their debut performances on June 18–21 with "Hot Issue" on Mnet's "M!Countdown", "KBS's Music Bank", "MBC's Music Core" and SBS's Popular Song. They won the digital music award "Rookie Of The Month" for June and August. 4minute won their first ever number one award on Inkigayo, on September 27 and on M!Countdown, on October 1.

here is the MV. Hot hot hot hot hot issue ! being addicted to this song lately ^^

On August 27, 2009, Korean broadcaster KBS banned play of the 4minute song "Won't Give (안줄래)" for what they considered to be overly sexual lyrical content. Poor 4minute, I hope it won't happen for twice. Well, me myself didn't even know what the song's like, so if you wanna try download it just click here Link : roumarie@4shared But it is also included in "For Muzik" mini-album, so you can get this song by downloading the mini-album through the next link I'll give

In the end of August, 4Minute released a mini-album called "For Muzik" which was alongside their second single, "Muzik". Download their mini-album "For Muzik" here.(I mean this link ^^) I don't own this, got it from filestube

Their third single is "What A Girl Wants."

video : 4MinuteVEVO@youtube

Each song they have released has focused on one member of the group. "Hot Issue" focused on Hyuna, "Muzik" focused on Jiyoon and "What A Girl Wants" focused on Gayoon. Then they release a track for holiday titled "Jingle Jingle" feat Mario and Amen. The music video takes on a very cartoon like winter wonderland concept with its retro and cute animation. Early 2010, HyunAh is the first member who goes solo, her solo track is titled change. 4minute released a new mini-album entitled "Hit Your Heart" for their comeback on May 19, 2010. They pronunce "HuH" as "ha" and it means they will laugh at people who laugh at them. South Korean military propaganda broadcasts to North Korea restarted with the song "HuH" by 4minute, in response to the ROKS Cheonan sinking.

Yuri's Birthday

Annyeong !
5 december ! you know what day is it? :D
yep! Yuri- SNSD birthday !
happy birthday ! wish you all the best, yuri!
i make this special for you xD

Yuri disappears ! believe it or not !
During the broadcasting of SBS 'Star King,' Yuri, looking elegant in a one-piece, appeared with magician Choi Hyun Woo to perform a magic show for the viewers.

Lying on her back, the female idol slowly began to levitate from the ground. In a blink of an eye, Yuri also disappeared behind a cloth which Choi Hyun Woo holds before her. o.O

The audience frantically searched for her, thinking she had fallen behind the stage. Choi Hyun Woo gave a signal, wherein Yuri re-appeared 20 meters away from the stage.

Many were shocked by Yuri's acting as a magician's assistant, wondering how she was able to master the tricks in such a short amount of time. The hottie answered, "I practiced a lot for 3 days and nights." She left many curious, adding that, "Magic is supposed to be a secret."

woahh~ cool yuri, nee~ :D love yuri ! ^0^
wish you better with your new age !

well.. not so far from my lattest post,

KARA has been selected as models for pizza franchise Pizza Etang. The recent shooting for the advertisement, which took place in Incheon, captured KARA's attempt at a uniquely "expressionless" dance scene. the filming is full of NG's ^^ haha~ cute KARA!

A representative of Pizza Etang expressed that KARA had been selected as the company's advertising model because of the girls' popularity and image. "All of the members have a strong personality, and appeal to a younger consumer audience."
wii~ good job, KARA ! hwaiting !

Stay tuned to allkpop as we await the first CF, set to air on December 5!

Pizza Etang CF

and here is the filming that's full of NG

and the next news is from rookie girl group Rainbow, who recently debuted with their title track Gossip Girl has been receiving lots of love calls for CFs. And it's not surprising because these girls have got the looks to move products off the shelves!

It's been reported that they have already received many CF offers from chicken, makeup and clothing companies. hwah~ awesome o.O

In addition, just as fellow DSP family girl group Kara's Goo Hara has gained a lot of attention because she resembles famous Japanese singer Amuro Namie, Rainbow's leader Kim Jae Kyung has been in the limelight as fans have pointed out that she looks a lot like famous Japanese singer/actress Ayase Haruka.

left: Ayase Haruka
right: Kim Jae Kyung
hwah~ what do you think? :D

Seems like Rainbow is moving on up and 2010 seems to be very promising for this hot new girl group. Expect to see lots of Rainbow on stage and in CFs in the near future!
